"Building Resilient and Inclusive Economies: Digital Innovation, Sustainable Business Practices, and Social Responsibility in the Era of Global Transformation"

The global economy reached approximately $105 trillion in 2024, yet this growth has been accompanied by widening inequality, environmental degradation, and social tensions. According to the World Bank, over 700 million people still live in extreme poverty, while the richest 10% of the global population owns 76% of total wealth. Simultaneously, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warns that without immediate action, global temperatures will rise beyond critical thresholds, threatening economic stability and human wellbeing. These challenges demand new economic paradigms that transcend traditional growth-focused models. Digital transformation has accelerated dramatically, with the global digital economy projected to reach $23 trillion by 2025. Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, Internet of Things, and big data analytics are reshaping business operations, creating new opportunities while simultaneously disrupting traditional industries and labor markets. The challenge lies in harnessing these technologies not merely for profit maximization but for creating shared value and addressing societal challenges.

The World Economic Forum's Global Risks Report 2024 identifies economic fragmentation, technological disruption, and environmental degradation as critical challenges requiring coordinated responses from governments, businesses, and civil society. In this context, the intersection of digital innovation, sustainable business practices, and social responsibility has emerged as a critical pathway toward building economies that are not only productive but also resilient, inclusive, and sustainable.

The theme directly responds to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). By integrating digital innovation, sustainable practices, and social responsibility, the conference provides a platform for exploring holistic solutions to interconnected global challenges.

The 11th International Conference and Community Service on Tourism, Economic, Accounting, Management and Social Science (TEAMS) is an annual flagship event organized by the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) in collaboration with various prestigious higher education institutions both domestically and internationally. Since its inception, TEAMS has established itself as a premier academic platform in Southeast Asia, bringing together scholars, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and community leaders to advance knowledge and practice across multiple disciplines.

This year marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the TEAMS conference as it becomes an integral part of the 12th National Convention on Indonesian Education (Konvensi Nasional Pendidikan Indonesia/KONASPI XII-2026), hosted by Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Participants will benefit from an expanded program featuring diverse tracks spanning economic disciplines and educational innovations, enriched networking opportunities connecting economics and education communities at both national and international levels, enhanced publication prospects, and strengthened connections between economic research, educational practice, policy formulation, and community development.

The theme inherently demands multidisciplinary approaches, integrating insights from:

Tourism Studies: While not the primary focus, tourism intersects with all other fields as a significant economic sector that exemplifies challenges and opportunities in balancing economic growth, environmental sustainability, and community wellbeing.

Economics:

Examining macroeconomic policies, market structures, trade dynamics, and economic theories that support resilient and inclusive growth.

Accounting:

Investigating financial reporting standards, sustainability accounting, forensic accounting, management accounting, and audit practices that ensure transparency and accountability.

Management:

Exploring strategic management, organizational behavior, innovation management, and leadership practices that enable sustainable business transformation.

Social Sciences:

Analyzing sociological, anthropological, and political dimensions of economic development, including power dynamics, community participation, cultural contexts, and social justice considerations.
