As a form of implementing the Tri Hita Karana values ??in terms of caring for fellow human beings, the Economics and Accounting Department Student Association (HMJ), Faculty of Economics, Ganesha Education University carried out social service activities which started on Friday 18 December 2020. Social service activities with the theme “Embracing others during the COVID-19 pandemic” were carried out for three days from 18-20 December 2020. Activities on the first day were carried out by providing assistance to two foster siblings in Sidetapa Village on behalf of Agus and Aldi. The assistance provided is in the form of basic necessities and cash.
On the second day, social service activities were carried out by visiting the people of Surabaya Village, Kintamani Bangli. This time the social service targets 40 elderly and underprivileged people and 119 students at SD 1 Subaya with assistance provided in the form of basic food packages to the community and stationery assistance to students. The last day of social service was carried out by providing assistance to the Udayana Wiguna Singaraja orphanage. The number of children in the orphanage is 42, consisting of elementary school, middle school, and high school children. The assistance given to them is in the form of basic necessities and cash. as well as providing games and motivation to younger students to raise their spirits.
With this Social Service activity, it is hoped that the burden borne by aid recipients will be lighter in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, the 3 days of Social Service activities ran smoothly and complied with the Health protocols recommended by the Government. (team)
