Thursday (12/3/20) Undiksha’s Faculty of Economics received an academic visit from SMA Muhammadiyah PK Kottabarat Surakarta. A total of 19 class X IPS students and 4 teachers attended the visit. The group was welcomed by the Dean’s staff, Faculty Student Affairs Advisors, and several student representatives from the BEM Faculty of Economics. Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Dr. Naswan Suharsono, M.Pd called this activity a special activity and welcomed the arrival of students who might later be interested in becoming students at the Undiksha Faculty of Economics.
Heru Hadiyono, one of the teachers who accompanied the students in this activity, explained that this visit was related to the site in the University which is a special breakthrough for the school to orient and directly introduce the university climate to students. “In the sit-in activity, students will take part in classes and the teaching and learning process as at a university. This visit is an initial program for students to get to know the campus environment directly, before taking part in these activities in class XI. “Our students are interested in visiting Undiksha, especially the Faculty of Economics,” he explained.
A sharing session was held in the middle of the event, guided by the Faculty Student Affairs Advisor, M. Rudi Irwanysah, S.Pd., M.Pd. Several students seemed enthusiastic about asking questions related to the Faculty of Economics, including regarding the fields of science or study programs in the Faculty of Economics, the paths that can be taken to enter Undiksha, and the achievements that have been achieved by students from the Faculty of Economics. Closing the visit, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Muhammadiyah PK Kottabarat High School exchanged souvenirs. Before leaving campus, the group took the time to tour the facilities and environment around the Undiksha Faculty of Economics. (win)
