Every educational institution always strives to improve the quality and quality of education and its graduates so that they are always in demand by the community, one way to measure the level of quality and quality of an educational institution is through accreditation. Accreditation is not only required for educational institutions at the University level, but also at the Study Program level. This is because accreditation determines the feasibility of Study Programs based on criteria that refer to the National Higher Education Standards and of course guarantees the quality of Study Programs in both academic and non-academic fields in order to protect the interests of students and society.
Adhering to Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education, the Indonesian Economic Bachelors Association (ISEI), the Indonesian Accountants Association or (IAI), and the Indonesian Association of Economics and Business Faculties (AFEBI) agreed to establish an Independent Accreditation Institute for Economics, Management, Business , and Accounting (LAMEMBA). The existence of LAMEMBA is strengthened by the launch of the transfer of accreditation of Study Programs in December 2021 by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikbudristek) together with the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), where the accreditation of Study Programs which was originally carried out by BAN-PT will be transferred to the Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM). So that the current study program accreditation is entirely carried out by LAM
As one of the accredited Study Programs at the Ganesha Education University, the Accounting S1 Study Program is preparing for the reaccreditation process by LAMEMBA because the accreditation with a B grade previously carried out by BAN PT will end at the end of 2022. Therefore, on Wednesday 18 May 2022, a coordination meeting will be held regarding the preparation for the accreditation of the S1 Accounting Study Program which will be held in room C1. In a coordination meeting which was attended by all Dean Leaders, Faculty Quality Control Groups, Head of Faculty Labs, Heads of Departments, Study Program Coordinators and all Lecturers of the Accounting S1 Program, Mr. Dr. Gede Adi Yuniarta, S.E., Ak., M.Si as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics emphasized the need to establish communication and coordination across units within the Faculty of Economics to help smooth the accreditation process which will take place at the end of 2022. In addition, Mr. Dean also explained about There are 3 aspects that are the main focus of LAMEMBA in conducting re-accreditation including: self-evaluation, evaluation of Study Programs and assessment guidelines. In the assessment guidelines, there will be an assessment of the performance that has been carried out by all Lecturers of the Accounting S1 Study Program regarding the activities of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education that have been carried out so far.
At the end of the meeting, a joint discussion session was held to unify the perceptions of all participants in the coordination meeting, so that it is hoped that communication, coordination and consolidation will be established until the end of the accreditation process by LAMEMBA. Overall the coordination meeting went smoothly and in accordance with the health protocol recommended by the government. (team)
