As one of the new faculties within Ganesha University of Education, Faculty of Economics has an academic community that does not stop producing achievements and pride for their beloved alma mater. This is evidenced by the achievements of the faculty as the Main Champion at the XXIX Ganesha University of Education Anniversary event in 2022. At the anniversary event, the contingent of the faculty managed to outperform 7 other faculties within the university by collecting 9 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 8 bronze medals. All of the medals came from 3 types of competitions, namely: sports competitions, scientific competitions, and art competitions.
9 gold medals were donated from the PUBG & ML E-sports contingents, Women’s Chess, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Men’s Doubles Badminton, Ganesha Critical Challenge, Men’s Keroncong, and Women’s Dangdut. 8 silver medals were donated from the Men’s volleyball contingent, Men’s Badminton, Students Creativity Programme (PKM or Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa) of Written Idea, PKM of Science and Technology Implementation, Undiksha Challenge, Men’s Dangdut, Bali C Dance and Bali M Dance. Meanwhile 8 bronze medals were donated from the men’s Chess contingent, Men’s Single Badminton, Gymnastics, PKM of Entrepreneurship, Indonesian Pop Songs for Men, Keroncong for Girls, Creative Dance and Poetry Musicalization. This achievement shows the students’ ability to excel in all fields, both in academics (scientific), sports and arts. The XXIX Anniversary 1st Winners’ Cup was handed over directly by the head of the Ganesha University of Education, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd accompanied by Dr. Gede Adi Yuniarta, S.E., Ak., M.Si as the dean of Faculty of Economics to the Student Executive Board Ganesha University of Education.
Another boasted achievement was also presented by 2 lecturers at the Open Session of the Senate of the Ganesha University of Education in the context of the XXIX Anniversary, where Mrs. Dr. Ni Made Ary Widiastini, S.ST. Par., M. Par. was named as the best service lecturer and Mrs. Sunitha Devi, S.E., M.Sc., Ak. was named as the lecturer with the most copyright owners. On a different occasion, the dean of the faculty expressed his deepest gratitude to the entire academic community of the faculty for their dedication, enthusiasm and contribution to the institute so that it can make the proud name of the faculty. He also advised that the entire academic community of the Faculty of Economics should always maintain work ethic and enthusiasm in the midst of this pandemic so that the performance achievements of the faculties and institutions can be achieved according to the predetermined plan.
