The Faculty of Economics has made another proud achievement in the field of entrepreneurship. This is proven by the passing of 23 student proposals from the Faculty of Economics out of a total of 45 proposals that passed to be funded in the PMW or Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (Entrepreneurial Student Programme) at the University level in 2021. This achievement complements the achievements of the Faculty of Economics in the field of entrepreneurship, where previously 6 student proposals from the Faculty of Economics has passed the funding for the KBMI or Kegiatan Berwirausaha Mahasiswa Indonesia (Indonesian Student Entrepreneurial Activities). The number of proposals for students from the Faculty of Economics who passed to be funded in PMW Undiksha in 2021 proves that the Faculty of Economics is very serious about working on the entrepreneurial spirit in students.
The Undiksha PMW Programme is a routine program held by the UPT PKKM or Unit Pelaksana Teknik Pengembangan Karir dan Kewirausahaan Mahasiswa (Unit of Technical Implementation for Career Development and Student Entrepreneurship) Undiksha in creating new entrepreneurs, so that later they can become big businesses and startups. With entrepreneurial students, it is hoped that they will earn their own income which can be used to meet their own needs, create new jobs if the business they make develops and advances, and can improve the skills of the students themselves. More than 50% of students’ proposals from the Faculty of Economics passed in this 2021 University level PMW funding, it cannot be separated from the support from the Dean of the Faculty of Economics in providing various mentoring facilities and the lecturers who always provide direction and input to students in preparing proposals without getting tired.
