The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics, Ganesha Education University (BEM FE Undiksha), is again holding a public debate to elect candidates for chairman and deputy chairman of BEM FE Undiksha for the 2021/2022 term. The activity, which was held on Wednesday 10 February 2020, was carried out online using the Zoom platform and was opened directly by Mr. Gede Putu Agus Jana Susila, S.E., M.B.A as Deputy Dean III FE Undiksha. In his speech, he said that student organizations, especially BEM FE Undiksha, must be able to embrace and protect members, not only members of BEM FE Undiksha but all students in the FE Undiksha environment. Apart from embracing it, BEM FE must also be able to increase students’ interest in participating in various competitions or competitions outside the institution.
This year’s public debate on the election of chairman and deputy chairman of BEM FE Undiksha presented two pairs of candidates. Candidate number 1 is Nyoman Ferdi Deva Pranata paired with Jirdi Jayydan Syalabi, while candidate number 2 is Putu Eka Kusumayani paired with I Gusti Ngurah Komang Alvin Putrawan. This activity aims to see the Vision, Mission, and work program of each pair of BEM FE Undiksha candidates so that FE Undiksha students are confident in their choice during the upcoming general election (PEMIRA). During the public debate, the candidate pairs for chairman and deputy chairman of BEM FE Undiksha were also tested with several questions from three panelists to see the abilities of each candidate. The panelists are Mr. I Kadek Rai Suwena, S.Pd., M.Pd., Mr. I Putu Arya Darmayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Mr. I Gede Wira Kusuma, S.Pd., M.M.
Overall, the public debate on the election of chairman and deputy chairman of BEM FE Undiksha went smoothly. According to the sequence of activities, after the debate event, it will be continued with PEMIRA BEM FE which will be held on Saturday, 13 February 2021 via E-Voting. (team)
