As an effort to increase literacy awareness for students in the future higher education, the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) in collaboration with Ganesha University Of Education again held a public lecture with the title ” Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Tourism In The New Normal“. The lecture, which was held for 2 days, starting from November 30 to December 1, 2021, presented academics and practitioners with experience in finance and entrepreneurship. The public lecture activity was opened directly by Mrs. Nuni Sutyoko as Head of Corporate Sustainability of PT. HSBC Bank Indonesia and was accompanied by Mr. Dr. I Putu Gede Diatmika, SE, M.Si, Ak, CA, CPA as Vice Dean II of the Undiksha Faculty of Economics.
This activity was conducted through online with the number of participants who attended almost 200 student participants. The general lecturing material on the first day was presented by 2 presenters, namely Ms. Nuni Sutyoko and Mr. Alistair Speirs, with the topic of discussion on business sustainability in the midst of the new normal and how to anticipate changes in the tourism business and creative industries in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. While on the second day, the lecturing material presented by Mr. John Eddy Junarsin, Ph.D, CFP discussed several factors that caused a business to always carry out its operations effectively and efficiently and how to maintain the sustainability of a business’s operations amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. .
At the end of the presentation of the material, a question-and-answer discussion session was opened between the speaker and the general lecture participants. The discussion was opened to facilitate questions from the participants regarding the problems that often occur in maintaining the sustainability of business ventures which will later be opened by the participants. The participants who took part in this event were mostly students of the Undiksha Faculty of Economics who were sitting in semesters 1,3 and 5. Overall, this public lecture went smoothly, was successful, and got high enthusiasm than the lecture participants. (team)
