The Investment Gallery Laboratory, Faculty of Economics, Ganesha Education University (UNDIKSHA) in collaboration with the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) and MNC Sekuritas held a Capital Markets School Seminar on Friday 23 September 2022. The activity, which took place in Building C1, Faculty of Economics, was opened directly by Mr. I Kadek Rai Suwena, S.Pd., M.Pd as Head of the Faculty Laboratory and attended by hundreds of students and lecturer staff at the UNDIKSHA Faculty of Economics. The seminar theme raised was “Achieve Financial Freedom at a Young Age by Investing in Stocks”. This activity presents speakers from IDX and MNC securities who are very competent in their fields.
The event began with reading a report from Mrs. Putu Eka Dianita Marvilianti Dewi, S.S.T.ak,.M.Si as chairman of the activities committee and continued with an opening by the Head of the Faculty Laboratory. In his speech, the Head of the Faculty Laboratory emphasized the importance of students as the younger generation in managing finances from an early age, so that they can generate profits in the future. One way to manage finances to gain profits is through stock investment. After the opening by the Head of the Faculty Laboratory, the event continued with the provision of core material regarding stock investment from resource persons, namely: (1) Mrs. Luh Gede Krisna Handayani (from IDX) who explained smart steps in investing in the Capital Market, and (2) Mr. Dewa Putu Yudha Dharma Aditya (from MNC Sekuritas) who discussed how to get tips financial freedom at a young age through stock investments.
This capital markets school activity was very attractive thanks to guidance from Mrs. Made Amanda Dewanti, S.E., M.M., as the event moderator. The enthusiasm of the participants was also very high as seen from the active participation of students in asking questions and providing responses to questions from resource persons. This capital market school activity was held as an effort to increase insight and deeper knowledge from practitioners regarding the smart steps taken in investing in the capital market and to bring students closer to becoming more familiar with investment and the capital market so that students at this young age can achieve financial freedom through investing in shares in the capital market. Overall, the capital markets school seminar activities ran smoothly and in line with the committee’s expectations. (team)
