In the midst of the government’s ongoing efforts to promote various entrepreneurship programmes for a speedy economic recovery, HSBC with the Putera Sampoerna Foundation and Sampoerna University also provide support through the implementation of entrepreneurship education programmes in collaboration with selected universities. The Faculty of Economics, Ganesha University of Education is again the choice of HSBC Educenter, which is partnered with the HSBC Educenter entrepreneurship education programme. One of the entrepreneurship education programmes that is also a concern for HSBC Educenter is related to ” Financial Capability Skills “, therefore on December 2, 2021, a Workshop ” Financial Capability Skills ” will be held.” which targets the younger generation. The workshop, which was moderated by Mr. Kadek Rai Suwena, S.Pd., M.Pd, was filled with 3 material topics including:
1. “Millennial Generation Financial Management Ability” by Prof. Dr. Ida Raka Suardana, SE, MM, as the Dean of FEB, National Education University.
2. “Securing Financial Assets in Conditions of Global Uncertainty (VUCA)” by Mr. Dr. I Putu Gede Diatmika, SE, M.Sc., Ak., CA., CPA. , as Vice Dean II of FE Ganesha University of Education.
3. “Android-Based Business Financial Bookkeeping” by Ms. Sunitha Devi, SE, M.Sc., Ak. , as the Head of the Entrepreneurship Laboratory of the Ganesha University of Education FE.
The high enthusiasm of the workshop participants was evidenced by the active discussion between the participants and the three resource persons. The younger generation is starting to be critical in dealing with various current financial situations, so they are very enthusiastic about participating in the workshop until it ends. In the final presentation of the material, it was also interspersed with the provision of pre-test and post-test by HSBC aimed at participants to assess the effectiveness of the programme implemented. In accordance with the big theme promoted through the collaboration of these three large companies (HSBC Edu-center, Putera Sampoerna Foundation, and Sampoerna University), it is hoped that this workshop activity can have an impact on the development of the world of education by increasing the financial capabilities and capabilities of the community, especially for business actors.
