Tax Center Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) once again successfully held the 2021 tax volunteer recruitment program which lasted for 3 days from 25 to 27 January 2021. This tax volunteer recruitment program was a collaborative effort between Center Undiksha with the Directorate General of Taxes at the Bali Regional Office, which has been established since 2020. According to Mr. I Nyoman Putra Yasa, S.E., M.Si., BKP. as chairmanTax Center Undiksha, tax volunteers is a program created to encourage students to be aware of the importance of paying taxes while educating them to become partners with the Directorate General of Taxes in providing education about taxes to the public. In 2021, the Directorate General of Taxes at the Bali Regional Office gave high appreciation to Tax Center Undiksha for the smooth running of the 2020 tax volunteer program. This is proven by the provision of an additional tax volunteer quota of 3 people from 42 tax volunteers in 2020 to 45 tax volunteers for 2021 with details of 27 new volunteers and 18 people from the previous year’s tax volunteers. Just like in 2020, the 2021 tax volunteers will be distributed to three regencies in Bali Province with the distribution of volunteers in the three regencies as follows: Buleleng Regency with 33 volunteers, Jembrana Regency with 9 volunteers, and Karangasem Regency with 33 volunteers. 3 volunteers.
The 2021 tax volunteer selection is slightly different from the previous year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in a change in the selection format from offline to online. The initial stage of selection begins with the distribution of information via pamphlets on several social media regarding the opening of registration for tax volunteers in 2021. Several requirements must be completed by students to register to become tax volunteers, such as students who are taking or have already taken taxation courses, as evidenced by the attached quote from the list. grades (KDN) or study results card (KHS). Apart from that, students must also include the course of life as well as a letter of parental permission as a form of approval to take part in the 2021 tax volunteer program. All of these files are no longer collected manually on campus as in 2020 but are simply scanned and then uploaded to the Google form link listed on the pamphlet. This condition was implemented by the recruitment committee as a form of implementation of the COVID-19 Health protocol regarding anticipating direct contact and reducing crowd activities. Based on the results of the data recapitulation listed in Google form, 80 students have registered to become tax volunteers for 2021. All of these 80 students are new tax volunteer candidates, while the 18 tax volunteers who have participated in the previous year no longer need to take part in the selection stage. On January 25 to 26 2021, the files of 80 students were verified by the tax volunteer selection team to determine the truth and validity of the files that had been uploaded.
From the results of the selection team’s verification of the 80 submitted files, 55 student files were deemed suitable to advance to the next selection stage, namely the interview test. The interview test will be carried out randomly on the online platform Google Meet on January 27 2021 with examiners from the core management Center Undiksha already has competence in the fields of taxation and accounting. The purpose of this interview test is to find out the extent of students’ ability to understand taxes and assess their confidence in participating as tax volunteers in 2021. Based on the results of the interview test, 27 students are considered suitable to become tax volunteers so with the addition of 18 old volunteers, the quota is 45 The 2021 tax volunteers provided by the Directorate General of Taxes at the Bali Regional Office have been fulfilled.
