On Monday, February 1, 2021, the Faculty of Economics, Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) again held a Working Meeting for the 2022 Fiscal Year. This event, which is routinely held every year, took place in room C1 of the Faculty of Economics and specially invited Mr. Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd as Chancellor and Mr Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd as Deputy Chancellor II of Ganesha University of Education as the main resource person. The meeting began with reading a report from Mr. Dr. I Putu Gede Diatmika, S.E., Ak., M.Si. as chairman of the activities committee and officially opened by Mr. Dr. Gede Adi Yuniarta, S.E., Ak., M.Si as Dean of the Faculty of Economics. In the committee chairman’s report, it was explained that this work plan meeting was held to accommodate all activities that would be carried out by the Faculty of Economics in 2022. So each work plan budget must be made and agreed upon jointly by the Faculty’s academic community one year before its implementation. The chairman of the committee stated that the budget ceiling for the Faculty of Economics’ work plan for 2022 was divided into three areas, namely 59% was allocated to the academic sector, 30% to the general and financial sector, and 11% was allocated to the student affairs sector.
The report also explains that from year to year, the budget ceiling is managed as Faculty operational funds continue to decrease. This is not the result of a decrease in non-tax state revenue (PNBP) that can be achieved by the Faculty but rather is due to changes in budget management policies at Undiksha. However, according to the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, the decline in the budget ceiling managed by the Faculty has not dampened the enthusiasm of the academic community to improve its performance. With the reduction in the budget ceiling for 2022, he advised that planning for budget users must be flexible and prioritize a sense of togetherness in managing budgets in various fields. Planning for budget use for 2022 should also always refer to the vision and mission of Undiksha and the Faculty, RPJP, Rentra, Renbis, Main Performance Indicators (IKU), Chancellor’s performance contract with the Minister, accreditation indicators, and support for increasing Undiksha clustering. Apart from that, the budgeting that is prepared does not necessarily forget about human resource development in the Faculty of Economics.
The work meeting program was divided into several sessions with two sessions in the form of conveying directions and instructions from the Chancellor and Deputy Chancellor II to the meeting participants regarding the Institution’s targets for 2022. In delivering his directions, the Chancellor of the Ganesha Education University emphasized the achievement of the targets of the Ganesha Education University in 2021 /2022 is to beInternational Reputable University in Education and Leadership (IRUEL), so to be able to achieve this requires the support of the entire community in a spirit of work and harmony. The Chancellor also reminded us that Undiksha is our second home and by working together, we can bring Undiksha to achieve its vision. In another session, Deputy Chancellor II explained management policies and budget preparation to achieve Key Performance Indicators (IKU) 2022. He explained the five program targets that must be achieved, namely excellence in Asia, clustering, accreditation, performance contracts, and HR and OutCome. At the end of each material session from the resource persons, there was a question and answer session guided by two moderators, namely I Kadek Rai Suwena, S.Pd., M.Pd. and Komang Krisna Heryanda, S.E., M.M.
After discussion sessions for each commission and discussion panels, the activity ended with the delivery of approval from each commission regarding budgeting in 2022. Based on the results of the working meeting, all commissions approved the 2022 work plan budget to be ratified by consensus. Overall, the 2022 fiscal year work plan meeting ran smoothly and the COVID-19 Health protocol was always implemented in each session.
