Sumadala River, Banyuasri Region – Friday, September 20, 2024 – In support of World Clean Up Day 2024, the Buleleng Clean River Action (Bukal-Sih) was held by the Buleleng Regency Government to follow up on the Ministry of Environment and Forestry’s directive. The event focused on environmental preservation and promoting sustainable practices through community involvement. The activity was attended by key officials, including the Acting Regent of Buleleng, representatives from Dandim 1609 Buleleng, Polres Buleleng, the Inspectorate of Buleleng Regency, and members from various regional offices such as the Regional Secretariat of Buleleng Regency, DPRD Secretariat, and the Regional Planning Region and Development Office. Also present were academic leaders, including the Head of STAHN Mpu Kuturan Singaraja, the Chair of Stikes Buleleng, Academic Advisors, and lecturers from the Faculty of Economics at Ganesha University of Education. Participants included members of The Student Executive Board (BEM) from the Faculty of Economics, showcasing the active role of students in environmental sustainability initiatives. This collaborative effort not only emphasized the importance of river cleanliness but also aimed to raise awareness about maintaining a healthy environment for future generations. The activity highlights Buleleng’s commitment to global environmental movements and fostering community responsibility.
