C1 Seminar Room, Faculty of Economics & Buyan Lake, Sukasada- October 26-27, 2024 – The FE-Jour 2024 Workshop, organized by the Communication and Information Division of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics, was successfully conducted over 2 days. The event took place at two locations: the C1 Seminar Room of the Faculty of Economics on the first day and Buyan Lake on the second. It was officially opened by the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Economics, Dr. I Nengah Suarmanayasa, S.E., M.Si., and attended by the Academic Advisor and the Leader of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics.
Carrying the theme “Developing Journalism Potential of the Faculty of Economics,” the workshop featured 16 participants, all of whom were new members of FE-Journalist. The event was enriched by the keynote address from Putu Sosiawan, S.S., M.Pd., Coordinator of the News and Publication Division at Undiksha’s Social Relations and Protocol Unit. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ journalism skills and improve their ability to deliver accurate and engaging information. Participants gained insight into journalism basics, news writing techniques, and methods for processing information into informative and appealing articles. The session provided not only theoretical knowledge but also practical guidance from an experienced journalist, including tips and tricks for becoming a professional in the field. Participants actively engaged in discussion sessions and hands-on practice, allowing them to directly apply the knowledge they had gained. This initiative is expected to help new members of FE-Jour further develop their potential in journalism and contribute to disseminating information within the academic community, especially the Faculty of Economics. Through this workshop, FE-Jour strives to inspire its members to uphold journalistic excellence and to foster a culture of sharing knowledge and skills that benefit the broader university community.
